Peace in the South of France
A holiday at La Bastide d'Or is a perfect way of leaving the daily stress behind you. The surrounding offers peace, space, tranquillity and a splendid nature. For more amusement there are many nice Café/Bars and Boutiques that you can visit in Vaison-la-Romaine, it also has an ancient Roman theatre and many archaeological sites of interest. The old village of Nyons with its narrow streets is certainly worth a visit and both villages have a good choice of restaurants.
Approximately one hour drive away and you can be in Avignon or Orange. Nimes, Arles and Aix-en-Provence are at about two hours drive away. If you the time then the Camargue shouldn't be missed! This beautiful nature reserve with its flamingos, horses and black bulls is a sight to be seen. If possible a detour to the gipsy village of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer would also be worth the extra time.
